harvest pear cake

Made this yamee yameeee cake today (Little Man’s words, not mine). I got a thrill from using my kitchenaide again. I’ve made three cakes with it so far which makes them about $266 each! I need to make more cakes. This one is another goodie from Jude Blereau. It won’t last long with two hungry boys in the house.

pears from the farmer's market whizzing it up in the kitchenaide cake ready to pop in the oven uuugh... dishes, the worst part about cooking if you liked this post, you may also like:

    Hi Sim,

I would love to make this cake, because it was so yummy… Would you share the recipe with me?

    Thanks a lot

Hi Ute, I think I have an idea now what to buy your little one for his birthday… this recipe book so you can bake together! Give me a couple of days to get organised and i’ll jot down the recipe for you.

  2. Yum. I have made this cake and took it to work for a birthday morning tea. The number of people that said “YOU made this?” was amazing. One person even commented that she thought I didn’t cook much as I was vegetarian! I don’t know how that works.
I don’t know if you get the emails about the seasonal seminars. As usual, it looks really interesting.

Thanks for the link! I have all Jude’s books but haven’t been to any of her classes, I should take advantage since she is in Perth. Whenever I do any of her baking I always have people asking me for the recipes. I love that her recipes are so flexible, I’m always substituting ingredients for whatever I have around and it always turns out yummy. Thanks for your kind feedback, I’m so happy you’re enjoying the blog, I love doing it!

      • Have you tried the Apricot and Oat Bars from Coming Home to Eat? Delicious. I made these with the idea being that they would last a week or at least a few day, but the whole lot was eaten by the end of the day.

Not sure if you have heard Julie Eady speak (next Jude Blereau seminar). Well worth it.
