I was hoping that today I could report I made a baby, but no…
I can say though that I made lemonade. With 1 part fresh lemon juice, one part sugar syrup (1 cup sugar dissolved in 1 cup of water) and 3 parts chilled soda water. It’s yummy and refreshing and surprisingly not too sweet. It would have been perfect during our long hot summer, but my lemon tree has only just decided to give up her bounty.
… maybe he’s waiting to be a Mother’s day baby?
By the way, if you know me and you live nearby I have a lot of lemons, so please let me know if you want some!

Those last waiting days are a weird kind of limbo; wanting to enjoy the last moments of free hands + time, and desperate to meet him, oh, and get rid of the heavy load!
Yep – we’ve been watching our lemons s-l-o-w-l-y ripen for ages. They’re just doing their thing now, but something’s odd. The tree is super-laden (which I hear can indicates the end of it’s life) and some of the skins are splitting? Disappointing to say the least.
And thank you so very much to you and your mum for the laptop cover offer. I was very tired when I wrote that comment and felt like I’d been way too cheeky after I hit post. So – please, do.not.do.it if it’s at all an inconvenience. Besides, we’re leaving in 9 days, which is very short time (eek!) So – if your mum really does have time AND finds it a pleasure (this bit is important to me), it’s a macbook (23 x 33 cm.) And if not, I’m more than happy to use a cloth bag. It’s probably time I learnt to crochet anyway!
Good luck!
Thinking of you.
Good luck!!! Lemonade looks delicious. xK
