We had our first corn harvest. We planted them from seeds and they have survived the heat. Sadly, I can’t say the same about the rest of the veggie patch. I think i’m going to put some more thought into the next planting. I don’t do any research on when to plant seeds, I just throw them in and hope for the best.
A friend has this book from the little veggie patch co. It’s on my wish list because they have a planting guide that takes the guesswork out of growing veggies. Plus the design is so fresh. The logo and the packaging and the book are all delightful. I want to buy the seeds just so that I can frame the illustrations and put them in my kitchen!

I have walked past that book so many times thinking ‘should I?’ I love the look of it.
Have you ever tried using Gardenate? If you fill in your email address they will send you a reminder at the beginning of each month telling you what is good to plant at the time of year for your climate.

That is brilliant! Thank you for the link, I am going to check it out right now…
Your corn looks fantastic and I agree those seed packets are worth buying the seeds for alone.
