The bus shelters in East Freo have had a makeover. What a marvelous job they have done, to take something as mundane as a concrete bus shelter and turn it into an inspiring space, where one could sit and ponder.

The local Waldorf Steiner school was having an open day today so I went along with Mister E. It’s a beautiful school setting, the grounds are set in bushland surrounded with native bushflowers. I mostly wanted to have a look at the craft. I have a few books about creative play based on the Steiner philosophy. I love the use of raw natural materials like wood and felt.

Dr Suess stories have a wonderful power, they are written so that as an adult I feel like I am six again. My boys love the wild stories and ridiculous rhymes. Our favourite at the moment is a close tie between the Lorax and Oh, the places you’ll go.
